This year, the Academic Senate Foundation directors have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $101,000. Last year, your generous support enabled us to provide numerous scholarships to faculty for professional learning at ASCCC events, partner organization conferences, and individual research initiatives. Your contributions play a crucial role in supporting community college faculty across the state and advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism, and accessibility (IDEAA) and the ASCCC mission.
Because of this goal, the Foundation is starting the Area Competition early! This year’s Area Competition will begin October 15, 2024 and go all the way through the 2025 Spring Plenary Session! Donations throughout the year from various events will count towards the Area Competition. In order for your donation to count, you must use your Area’s donation link.
The winning team of the competition, (Area A, Area B, Area C, or Area D) will be announced during lunch at the Saturday Plenary Session where they will be awarded a new, unique trophy, a snack party during their area meeting at the 2025 Fall Plenary Session, and of course– bragging rights to last the whole year! The ASFCCC is also hosting a college competition, where the college that raises the most in overall monetary donations will win a plaque that can be proudly displayed at the college!
How to donate:
You may access the links below for your Area donation page. The Area Competition will begin October 15, 2024. Make your donation through the Give Lively platform.
What is the fundraiser for?
The funds raised will also go towards some good! Your donations assist with providing scholarships for faculty to attend professional learning events, both ASCCC events, as well as events by system partners, and support the broad engagement of the Academic Senate on issues facing our colleges and students.
