Faculty Scholarship Application Form for the California Conference on American Indian Education

The Academic Senate Foundation is proud to offer scholarships for faculty to attend the California Conference on American Indian Education on August 12-14, 2025 at CSU Chico.

The 44th Annual California Conference on American Indian Education serves as a powerful gathering to celebrate both traditional knowledge and academic achievement. This conference provides a platform for sharing educational practices that honor the richness of Native cultures while promoting the advancement of academic opportunities for American Indian communities in California.

Please note the scholarship is received in the form of a reimbursement from the ASFCCC. Reimbursement will be provided to winners post-conference to account for any potential changes. Receipts must be submitted with the reimbursement. Scholarship recipients will be notified two weeks after the deadline. The scholarship will cover the cost of the following items for select scholarship winners:

  • Registration for the whole conference
  • Travel costs up to $300
  • Lodging for 2 nights, room rate up to $240 per night

The deadline to submit is July 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Selected faculty will be notified via email two weeks after the submission date.

The ASCCC aims to intentionally support the increase of development opportunities for diverse faculty, as called for in the ASCCC Strategic Plan 2018-2023 Goal 2 Objective 2.1. In order to design and lead professional development opportunities for diverse faculty, it is essential to begin gathering data to identify and meet the needs of the diverse faculty in our community college system.
